The University of Dayton football team calls any turnover it gains loose change, and the Flyers know that any loose change they come up with impacts the outcome of the game. This year the team is taking the concept of the importance of loose change off the field, and when UD plays Campbell on Saturday, the Flyers hope their fans will join them.
Thanks to National City, any loose change the Dayton football team picks up will benefit Catholic Social Services. Just as UDs loose change changes things for the better during the game, this Loose Change promotion hopes to make a difference to the families served by Catholic Social Services. For every fumble and interception UD comes up with, National City is donating $50 to the fund. So far this year, the total donation is $500.
Saturdays game against Campbell has been designated this years Loose Change Empty Your Pockets game, and the Flyers are hoping that fans attending the game will also make a difference by donating what they can to the Dayton football teams charity of choice. There will be seven bins located around Welcome Stadium to accept donations that will go to Catholic Social Services.
Saturdays kickoff will be at 1 pm.
